26 October 2001

The week's not quite over yet. Spent the morning at work (almost got to sleep in all the way!) and came home to realize the local CD I wanted to review, that I was desperately hoping was good, wasn't. So I went through the growing stack of CDs I've stolen from my editor and found a really good one-- Hesher. It's sent in. Hopefully nobody else snuck in and did it without me knowing.

Tonight is 80's night. No mass alcohol consumption, though I will try to dance and be somewhat merry that Dad's getting a tube put in sometime soon. It's reversible if whatever's squeezing his esophagus is fixed, so that's a good thing.

Saturday's the opening of Tremorz. We all have to be there.
And then Sunday. Almighty Sunday. Blessed, blessed sleep. This whole autopilot thing can stop.

Oooh, I've got an hour. I might be able to sneak in a nap...

Wow. It's actually been a couple of days. It's actually been a couple of days where I've been in and out of the house, not really wanting to philosophize on here too much.

Dad's in the hospital still. I miss him. I miss him being mobile and vivrant like he was just this summer. I'm not sure how safe it is to say that he's pretty much in the home stretch at this point, and handling all the legal stuff might prepare us all a little bit mentally, but that's not making the thought of the inevitable any easier.

Been going to work the past few days, too. Not today, though, since I was running around with the new Boi. (Bedhead fro included.) I tried to give blood today-- a double donation, and almost passed out right before they were going to rehydrate me for the second round, so they stopped. It was just barely enough for one, so that's something, I guess. I think they're going to wait the usual 4 months, though, until they ask me again, which is fine, because that means I don't have to worry about them bugging me during the holidays.

And things are going to be busy this week anyway. Got another show this week. I guess I was supposed to be going to a grand opening Thursday for a new venue, but that might be cancelled. Grrr.

I'm tired. Really. Really. Just. Tired.
